Podcasting as a new medium has fascinated me since the beginning of the format, that is, around 2005. Listening then to “This Week in Tech”, “Democracy Now!” or the first fledgling Polish podcasts, I thought it would be cool to do something of my own… The opportunity came in 2008 – my colleagues were recording a kind of quasi-podcasts/sports audios for one of the Internet portals – sometimes in spartan conditions, having as a studio the interior of a car, and as recording equipment a dictaphone. I thought that their undoubted potential could be used in a better way, and so I became the originator and co-creator of the Subjective Sports Podcast. In the podcast I performed the thankless role of super-editor, that is, producer-carrier and technical janitor, leaving the substantive side to the co-hosts, who know a lot more about sports than I do.

Sample episode – me and co-host Michał Zawada at the National Stadium during the Poland-San Marino match, the first live goal in the history of global podcasting. Thanks to our partnership with Nike, we had access to players from the Polish national team, and we conducted the coverage from the photo zone, right behind the San Marino goal.
