The film was commissioned by the Piotr Nowicki Foundation for Modern Art. In autumn 2009, the Museum of Art in Łódź and Piotr Nowicki Gallery in Warsaw held exhibitions of works by Eduard Steinberg, a Russian avant-garde painter living in Paris.
Piotr Nowicki managed to invite Steinberg to Poland together with his wife, art critic Galina Malevich. This was the first and, unfortunately, also the last visit of the artist to our country (Steinberg died in 2012).
I was responsible for the production, direction, editing and post-production of the film. In addition to me, Rafal Zurek (camera, sound) and Iwona Chodorowska (production cooperation, translation from Russian) participated in the creation of the documentary.
